The Third China Media Group (CMG) Annual Chinese TV Drama Awards took place in Beijing on Wednesday, celebrating the finest talents and productions in the Chinese television industry.
A total of 21 awards were presented during the event, recognizing outstanding achievements across various categories, including Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Drama Series. Esteemed actors Yu Hewei and Jing Dong were honored as \"Actor of the Year,\" while actresses Song Jia and Liu Yifei received the \"Actress of the Year\" accolades.
Among the award-winning productions, 15 popular TV series, such as \"The Tale of Rose,\" \"To the Wonder,\" and \"Romance in the Alley,\" were bestowed with the prestigious \"Outstanding TV Series of the Year\" honor.
The ceremony also marked the launch of the Film and Television Tourism Consumption Integration Year, an initiative aimed at promoting the synergy between film, television, cultural tourism, and consumption, thereby fostering high-quality development within the cultural tourism sector.
Attendees were treated to an evening filled with captivating performances of songs and dances, showcasing memorable scenes from the past year's most popular TV dramas and paying tribute to the dedicated individuals behind the scenes.
For those who missed the live event, the ceremony will be rebroadcast on CCTV-1 at 5:00 p.m. on January 30 and on CCTV-8 during prime time on February 2.
