Chinese President Xi Jinping has sent a congratulatory message to Alexander Lukashenko on his reelection as the president of Belarus. In his message on Monday, Xi highlighted the close relationship he has maintained with Lukashenko over recent years.
Xi noted that the two leaders have jointly charted the course for and led the development of China-Belarus relations, elevating bilateral ties to an all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership at an all-time high. He emphasized that political mutual trust between the two nations has been continuously consolidated.
The Chinese president also acknowledged the fruitful results of Belt and Road cooperation between China and Belarus, citing effective multilateral coordination. Xi expressed his commitment to further develop the traditional friendship between the two countries.
