Chinese Leaders Share Spring Festival Wishes with Retired Senior Officials

As the Spring Festival approaches, President Xi Jinping and other Chinese leaders have personally visited or sent representatives to extend festive greetings to retired senior officials across the country. The Spring Festival, falling on January 29 this year, is a time for family reunions and cultural celebrations, marking the beginning of the Lunar New Year.

President Xi, who also serves as the general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, conveyed his best wishes for a happy Spring Festival, good health, and longevity to the retired officials. These gestures reflect the deep respect and appreciation for the contributions these leaders have made to the nation's development.

In response, the retired senior officials praised the CPC Central Committee's achievements over the past year. They expressed their wholehearted support for President Xi's core leadership position within the CPC Central Committee and the Party as a whole. Their endorsements highlight the unity and shared vision among China's leadership, both past and present.

The former officials also voiced their hopes for the future, calling on the Party, the military, and people of all ethnic groups to unite even more closely around the CPC Central Committee with President Xi at its core. They emphasized the importance of building China into a stronger country and achieving national rejuvenation through a uniquely Chinese path to modernization.
