President Xi Jinping Highlights Real Economy During Liaoning Visit Ahead of Spring Festival

President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, embarked on an inspection tour of northeast China's Liaoning Province ahead of the upcoming Spring Festival, one of the most significant celebrations in the Chinese calendar.

On Thursday, Xi visited a cold rolling mill of Bensteel Group in Benxi City. During his visit, he underscored the importance of the steel industry as a fundamental sector for the nation. He emphasized that the real economy forms the bedrock of the national economy, highlighting the critical role that manufacturing and industrial development play in China's economic strength and resilience.

Earlier in the day, Xi stopped by a food market in Shenyang, the provincial capital of Liaoning, to assess the market's supply of goods during the holiday season. His visit aimed to ensure that residents have ample access to essential commodities as they prepare for the Spring Festival festivities.

The Spring Festival, also known as the Lunar New Year, is a time when families across China reunite and celebrate traditions that date back millennia. Xi's visits to industrial facilities and local markets demonstrate the government's commitment to economic stability and the well-being of the Chinese people during this important time.
