He stressed the importance of maintaining communication, managing differences, and expanding cooperation based on mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation.

\"Our goal is to deliver a better life for the people and make more contributions to the world,\" Wang Yi said. \"We have no intention of surpassing or replacing anyone, but we must defend our legitimate right to development.\"

During the conversation, Wang Yi elaborated on China's principled stance regarding the Taiwan question, urging the U.S. to handle it prudently. He expressed the United States' commitment to candid communication, resolving differences, and working together to maintain peace and stability worldwide. Blinken reaffirmed the U.S. adherence to the one-China policy and stated that the United States does not support \"Taiwan independence.\"

Wang Yi called on both nations to act responsibly as major global powers. \"I hope you will act accordingly and play a constructive role for the future of the people of China and the United States, as well as for the peace and stability of the world,\" he added.
