Over a week has passed since a magnitude-6.8 earthquake struck Dingri County in southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region on January 7. As resettlement and reconstruction efforts continue, communities are coming together to support one another.
In Cuo'ang Village, Quluo Town, Dingri County, firefighters from the Xizang Forest Firefighting Special Operations Unit are lending a helping hand. They have taken the initiative to prepare lunch for villagers affected by the quake, providing much-needed relief and comfort during this challenging time.
Our reporter, Zhao Chenchen, visited the village to witness the firefighters in action. The scene is one of solidarity and compassion, as the firefighters work diligently to cook and serve meals to the residents. Their efforts not only nourish the body but also uplift the spirits of those who have faced significant loss.
Such acts of kindness exemplify the resilience and unity of the community in the face of adversity. As reconstruction progresses, the collaborative efforts of local authorities, volunteers, and emergency personnel continue to make a profound impact on the lives of the affected villagers.
