During a video meeting on Tuesday with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Xi expressed his readiness to work with Putin in 2025 to elevate China-Russia relations to new heights.
\"By strengthening the stability and resilience of China-Russia relations, we can jointly cope with external uncertainties, promote development and revitalization in both countries, and uphold international fairness and justice,\" Xi stated.
He called for both nations to deepen strategic cooperation, bolster mutual support, and safeguard their legitimate interests. Xi encouraged the two sides to consolidate and expand bilateral relations, promoting in-depth practical cooperation.
President Putin echoed Xi's sentiments, noting that Russia and China have always trusted and supported each other as equals. \"Our cooperation serves the interests of both peoples and will never be impacted by changes in the international situation,\" Putin remarked.
During their discussion, the leaders also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern, agreeing to maintain strategic communication in the coming year.
