China Leads Global Green Transition: ERG CEO at Davos 2025

At the World Economic Forum in Davos 2025, Shukhrat Ibragimov, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors at Eurasian Resources Group (ERG), highlighted China's pivotal role in the global shift towards clean energy. In an exclusive interview with CGTN's Guan Xin, Ibragimov emphasized that \\"there is no green transition without China,\\" acknowledging the country's immense influence as the biggest consumer of minerals.

\\"China's investment in alternative energy is unprecedented,\\" Ibragimov noted. \\"In 2023 alone, China invested close to $900 billion in the sector, which is likely the largest investment compared to other countries.\\"

Ibragimov stressed that as major suppliers, companies like ERG must rise to meet China's growing demand for the minerals essential to clean energy technologies. \\"Being major suppliers, we must meet China's demand,\\" he added, underscoring the interconnectedness of global efforts to combat climate change.

The ERG CEO's remarks shed light on the critical importance of collaboration between mineral suppliers and consumers in driving the green transition forward. With China's significant investments setting the pace, stakeholders worldwide are watching closely to align their strategies with this momentum.

\\"China's leadership in alternative energy not only propels its own economy but also sets an example for the rest of the world,\\" Ibragimov said. \\"It's an exciting time for the industry, and it's imperative that we work together to achieve our common goals for a sustainable future.\\"
