On Saturday, President Xi, who is also the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, exchanged congratulations with To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, and Vietnamese President Luong Cuong on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations.
President Xi highlighted that China and Vietnam, as friendly socialist neighbors, represent a community with a shared future that is strategically significant.
Reflecting on the 75 years since the establishment of diplomatic ties, Xi noted that both nations have stood side by side, supporting each other in their struggles for national independence and liberation.
