Xi Jinping Extends Spring Festival Greetings to Non-CPC Groups, Emphasizes Unity and Development

In a festive gathering at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Monday, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, extended warm Spring Festival greetings to members of non-CPC political parties, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), personages without party affiliation, and other members of the united front.

As Chinese President and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, Xi highlighted the importance of unity and collaboration in achieving China's development goals during the annual event held ahead of the Spring Festival, which falls on January 29 this year.

Xi emphasized that China will implement more proactive and impactful macroeconomic policies, focusing on high-quality development and enhancing self-reliance in science and technology to ensure sustained social and economic progress in 2025.

He called upon non-CPC political parties, the ACFIC, and personages without party affiliation to align with the central tasks, serve the nation's overarching interests, and leverage their unique strengths to rally broader support, build consensus, and pool wisdom and resources.

Underscoring the importance of achieving the targets set in the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021–2025), Xi stressed the need to lay a solid foundation for the subsequent five years. He expressed hope that non-CPC personages would mobilize all positive forces to advance development, actively contribute to comprehensively deepening reform, promote high-quality development, and formulate proposals for the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030).

Xi also highlighted the necessity of addressing critical challenges in the protection and supervision of the Yangtze River ecosystem, urging concerted efforts to safeguard the environment.

He encouraged the ACFIC to guide the private sector in maintaining enthusiasm for entrepreneurship, bolstering confidence in development, and establishing modern corporate systems with distinctive Chinese characteristics.

The gathering reflects the Chinese leadership's commitment to fostering unity and cooperation among all sectors of society to drive the nation's development and achieve shared prosperity.
