Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a video meeting on Tuesday, emphasizing the importance of a stable and resilient partnership between the two nations to navigate global uncertainties.
During the talks, President Xi expressed his readiness to work with President Putin through 2025 to elevate China-Russia relations to new heights. He highlighted that strengthening their bilateral ties would help both countries address external challenges, promote development and revitalization, and uphold international fairness and justice.
\"The two sides should continue to deepen strategic cooperation, firm up mutual support, and safeguard the legitimate interests of both countries,\" Xi added.
President Putin echoed Xi's sentiments, noting that Russia and China have always trusted and supported each other and treated one another as equals. He affirmed that their cooperation serves the interests of both peoples and will remain unaffected by changes in the international situation.
During the meeting, the two leaders also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern and agreed to maintain strategic communication in the coming year.
