More than a week has passed since a magnitude-6.8 earthquake struck Dingri County in southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region on January 7. Resettlement and reconstruction efforts are still underway as communities strive to rebuild.
In Cuo'ang Village of Quluo Town, firefighters from the Xizang Forest Firefighting Special Operations Unit are going beyond their duties by preparing lunch for villagers affected by the quake. The firefighters have been working tirelessly, not only assisting in search and rescue operations but also ensuring that the basic needs of the villagers are met.
\"The earthquake has disrupted our lives, but the firefighters have been here for us every step of the way,\" said a resident of Cuo'ang Village. \"Their help means so much to us.\"
As reconstruction progresses, stories like these highlight the solidarity and compassion within the affected regions. The dedication of emergency services is making a significant difference in the recovery process.
