On Saturday, Xi exchanged congratulations with General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee To Lam and Vietnamese President Luong Cuong on the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two nations.

In his message, Xi highlighted the profound friendship and historical ties between China and Vietnam, noting that the two countries have fought side by side for national independence and liberation. \"So profound is the friendship between Vietnam and China, because we are both comrades and brothers,\" Xi remarked, emphasizing the unique relationship between the two parties and countries.

Xi recalled his successful visit to Vietnam in 2023, during which both sides pledged to work towards a China-Vietnam community with a shared future. He stressed that amid unprecedented global changes, the continuation of the socialist path by both nations holds great significance for their future and for global peace, stability, development, and prosperity.

Looking ahead, Xi expressed his commitment to working with Vietnamese leaders to seize the opportunity presented by the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties and the China-Vietnam Year of People-to-People Exchanges.
