Firefighters Bring Warmth: Cooking Lunch for Quake-Affected Villagers in Xizang

It has been over a week since a magnitude-6.8 earthquake struck Dingri County in southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region on January 7. As resettlement and reconstruction efforts continue, signs of hope and resilience emerge in the affected communities.

In Cuo'ang Village, Quluo Town, Dingri County, firefighters from the Xizang Forest Firefighting Special Operations Unit have taken on a compassionate role beyond their emergency duties. Amidst the challenging conditions, they are preparing lunch for the villagers, ensuring that warm meals reach those who need them most.

Our reporter, Zhao Chenchen, visited the village to witness firsthand the dedication of these firefighters. The aroma of freshly cooked food fills the air as they skillfully prepare traditional dishes, bringing comfort and a sense of normalcy to the quake-affected residents.

\"We are here not only to fight fires but also to support our community in times of need,\" says one of the firefighters. \"Providing meals is a small way we can help our fellow villagers recover from this disaster.\"

The villagers express gratitude for the support. \"Their help means so much to us,\" shares a local resident. \"In such difficult times, their kindness brings us hope.\"

The ongoing efforts in Dingri County highlight the solidarity and resilience of the people in Xizang. As reconstruction progresses, the collaborative spirit between the firefighters and the community serves as a beacon of strength.
