Xi, who also serves as the general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, highlighted the profound friendship between China and Vietnam, describing them as \"comrades and brothers.\" He noted that since the establishment of diplomatic ties 75 years ago, both countries have stood side by side, supporting each other in their struggles for national independence and liberation.
\"China and Vietnam share the same ideals and pursue a shared future, which is the most striking feature of the relations between our two parties and countries,\" Xi stated. He recalled his successful visit to Vietnam in 2023, during which both sides pledged to work towards a China-Vietnam community with a shared future, elevating bilateral relations to a new stage.
Amid unprecedented global changes, Xi underscored the importance of China and Vietnam continuing to follow the path of socialism. He asserted that this commitment bears on the future of both parties and countries, the global socialist cause, and has significant implications for regional and global peace, stability, development, and prosperity.
