Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a video meeting on Tuesday, emphasizing the importance of a stable and resilient relationship between China and Russia in addressing global uncertainties.

President Xi stated that he is ready to work with President Putin in 2025 to guide China-Russia relations to new heights. He highlighted that strengthening the partnership between the two countries would help cope with the external environment's uncertainties, contribute to their development and revitalization, and uphold international fairness and justice.

\"The two sides should continue to deepen strategic cooperation, firm up mutual support, and safeguard the legitimate interests of both countries,\" Xi added.

President Putin echoed these sentiments, noting that Russia and China have always trusted and supported each other, treating each other as equals. He affirmed that the cooperation between the two nations serves the interests of both peoples and will remain unaffected by changes in the international situation.

During the meeting, the two leaders also had an in-depth exchange of views on international and regional issues of common concern. They agreed to maintain strategic communication throughout the year, further consolidating and expanding bilateral relations and promoting the in-depth development of practical cooperation.
