Xi Jinping Calls for Unity and Innovation in Festive Address to Non-CPC Groups

As China prepares to welcome the Spring Festival on January 29, President Xi Jinping extended warm greetings to members of non-Communist parties, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), and personages without party affiliation. The annual gathering took place at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, symbolizing a collective commitment to national development and unity.

In his address, President Xi emphasized the importance of implementing proactive and impactful macroeconomic policies to sustain social and economic development in 2025. He highlighted the need for high-quality development and greater self-reliance in science and technology, urging all parties to work collaboratively towards these goals.

\"Achieving the targets set in the 14th Five-Year Plan is crucial,\" Xi stated. \"We must lay a solid foundation for the next five years, focusing on central tasks and serving the country's overall interests.\"

President Xi called upon non-CPC political parties, the ACFIC, and independent personages to leverage their unique strengths. He encouraged them to rally broader support, build consensus, and pool wisdom and strength to advance development.

Highlighting environmental concerns, Xi stressed the urgency of addressing critical challenges in the protection of the Yangtze River ecosystem. He urged collective efforts to tackle these pressing issues.

The ACFIC was specifically tasked with guiding the private sector. \"Maintain enthusiasm for entrepreneurship, bolster confidence in development, and establish modern corporate systems with distinctive Chinese features,\" Xi advised.

As the nation moves towards the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030), President Xi expressed hope for active contributions in reform, promoting high-quality development, and formulating forward-looking proposals.

The Spring Festival, a time of renewal and unity, serves as a backdrop for these calls to action. President Xi's address reflects a vision of collaborative progress, blending tradition with a forward-looking outlook for China's future.
