Firefighters Prepare Lunch for Earthquake-Affected Villagers in Xizang

It's been more than a week since a magnitude-6.8 earthquake struck Dingri County in southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region on January 7. As resettlement and reconstruction efforts continue, the community is coming together in remarkable ways.

At Cuo'ang Village in Quluo Town, Dingri County, firefighters from the Xizang Forest Firefighting Special Operations Unit are going beyond their duties. Our reporter, Zhao Chenchen, witnessed firsthand how these brave individuals are not only providing emergency services but also preparing lunch for the villagers affected by the quake.

Amidst the backdrop of damaged homes and disrupted lives, the firefighters are chopping vegetables, stirring pots, and serving warm meals. Their efforts bring comfort and a sense of normalcy to the villagers during this challenging time.

\"The earthquake took a lot from us, but the firefighters have given us hope,\" said one of the residents of Cuo'ang Village. The community meals have become a place where villagers can gather, share stories, and support each other.

The firefighters’ dedication exemplifies the spirit of unity and resilience. As reconstruction continues, such acts of kindness are a testament to the strength of the human spirit in the face of adversity.
