Xi Jinping Sends Spring Festival Wishes to Non-CPC Leaders

In anticipation of the upcoming Spring Festival, Chinese President Xi Jinping extended warm greetings on Monday to members of non-Communist parties, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), personages without party affiliation, and other united front members. The annual gathering was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

President Xi, who also serves as General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration in achieving China's development goals for 2025. He highlighted the nation's commitment to implementing more proactive and impactful macroeconomic policies, focusing on high-quality development, and enhancing self-reliance and strength in science and technology.

Addressing the assembled non-CPC leaders, Xi called upon them to leverage their unique strengths to contribute to the country's central tasks and overall interests. He encouraged them to rally broader support, build consensus, and pool wisdom and strength to sustain sound social and economic development.

Xi underscored the significance of achieving the targets set in the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021–2025), laying a solid foundation for the next five years. He expressed hope that non-CPC personages would actively participate in advancing reforms, promoting high-quality development, and contributing insights for the formulation of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030).

The President also stressed the need to address critical challenges in environmental protection, particularly in supervising the protection of the Yangtze River ecosystem. He highlighted the role of the ACFIC in guiding the private sector to maintain enthusiasm for entrepreneurship, bolster confidence in development, and establish modern corporate systems with distinctive Chinese characteristics.

The Spring Festival, also known as the Chinese Lunar New Year, falls on January 29 this year. The festival is a time for family reunions and cultural celebrations across the country. Xi's address reflects the government's commitment to inclusivity and unified progress as China continues on its path toward modernization and prosperity.
