Beijing — In a gesture of unity and forward-looking optimism, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, extended festive greetings to non-CPC political parties, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), personages without party affiliation, and other members of the united front ahead of the upcoming Spring Festival.
On Monday, at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, Xi, who is also the Chinese President and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, conveyed his well-wishes during the annual gathering with non-CPC personages. Looking ahead to the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030), Xi expressed hope that non-CPC personages would mobilize all positive forces to advance development. Highlighting environmental priorities, Xi stressed the need to address critical and challenging problems in supervising the protection of the Yangtze River ecosystem. He emphasized that safeguarding ecological systems is crucial for sustainable development.
Regarding economic sectors, Xi pointed out that the ACFIC should guide the private sector in maintaining enthusiasm for entrepreneurship and bolstering confidence in development.
