Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, extended festive greetings on Monday to non-CPC members ahead of the Spring Festival, also known as the Chinese Lunar New Year. The greetings were directed to people from non-CPC political parties, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, personages without party affiliation, and other members of the united front.
Xi, who is also the Chinese president and chairman of the Central Military Commission, conveyed his well-wishes during an annual gathering held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The event brought together non-CPC members to celebrate the upcoming festival, fostering unity and camaraderie as the nation prepares for the traditional holiday.
