Zhao Leji, chairman of the NPC Standing Committee, attended the plenary meeting where lawmakers examined a report on enforcing the Law on State-Owned Assets of Enterprises. The committee reviewed a report on the enforcement of the Yellow River Protection Law. Audit Rectification and Accountability
In addressing financial integrity, the session heard an audit rectification report for 2023. The report revealed that, as of the end of September, the rectification process had involved a total of 538 billion yuan (approximately $74.8 billion) in funds. Moreover, over 2,800 individuals had been held accountable, reflecting the government’s commitment to transparency and fiscal responsibility.
Enhancing Disaster Prevention and Emergency Management
The lawmakers deliberated on a report concerning the allocation and utilization of fiscal funds for disaster prevention, mitigation, and emergency management.
