British-Chinese sound artist Colin Chinnery delves into the auditory landscape of Beijing. Cloisonné gift designer Shen Wenguang is in relentless pursuit of a hue of blue that epitomizes Beijing’s cultural heritage. Drawing inspiration from the city’s timeless art forms and imperial history, Shen’s dedication reflects a deep reverence for tradition. “Finding the perfect shade is like capturing the essence of Beijing itself,” he muses.
Native photographer Song Zhuangzhuang offers a visual narrative through his lens and social media platforms. His work juxtaposes Beijing’s ancient architecture and winding alleyways with the sleek skyscrapers of the modern Central Business District. “Beijing is a city of contrasts,” says Song. “It’s where history and modernity coexist in every corner.”
