A spectacular aerial lion dance performance was held at the Macao Tower, a renowned landmark in the city, in honor of the 25th anniversary of Macao’s return to China.
Set against the backdrop of an outdoor platform 233 meters above the ground, the lion dancers demonstrated their skills to the rhythmic beat of drums, conveying joy and best wishes for this milestone occasion.
As an integral expression of China’s intangible cultural heritage, the lion dance holds a special place in Macao. Many young people in the region have been actively involved in its training since childhood, preserving and celebrating this traditional art form.
