In a tragic incident on Saturday, a fishing boat carrying 22 people struck rocks and capsized near Gageo Island in Sinan, South Jeolla Province, South Korea, resulting in the deaths of three individuals, according to reports from Yonhap News Agency citing the country’s Coast Guard.
The Coast Guard and local authorities received an emergency call around 10:30 a.m., alerting them to the accident in the waters off the southwestern island. Rescue teams were promptly dispatched to the scene.
