China Media Group Unveils Major Sports Broadcasts for 2025

China Media Group (CMG) hosted a grand year-ending event in Beijing on Tuesday, unveiling an exciting lineup of sporting events set to broadcast in 2025. The event marked a significant moment for sports enthusiasts across Asia and the globe, highlighting CMG’s commitment to delivering comprehensive sports coverage.

Attended by CMG President Shen Haixiong, the event showcased plans to broadcast an impressive 56 competitions in 2025. This includes six major competitions such as the upcoming Asian Winter Games and the World Games, along with 50 other events like the World Championships in multiple sports and various league events throughout the year.

In a video message, International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach expressed his gratitude for CMG’s strong partnership with the IOC. He applauded CMG’s successful coverage of the Olympics, emphasizing the importance of media in bringing the spirit of the games to audiences worldwide.

As CMG’s sports channel CCTV-5 approaches its 30th anniversary, viewers can look forward to significant updates. Three current shows will receive fresh revamps, and two new shows will be added, expanding the channel’s presence onto digital platforms. These changes aim to enhance viewer engagement and cater to the evolving preferences of the modern audience.
