In a heartfelt expression of sympathy, a spokesperson for the Chinese mainland on Friday extended condolences to the victims of a devastating fire in Taichung, central Taiwan.
Zhu Fenglian, spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, conveyed sincere sympathies to the families of those who lost their lives and to the injured in the tragic incident.
The large fire broke out on Thursday afternoon at an incomplete warehouse in Taichung, claiming nine lives and injuring eight others.
