In an effort to bolster economic relations, Karlis Eihenbaums, the Latvian ambassador to China, has emphasized the importance of strengthening trade ties between Latvia and China. Speaking to CGTN, Ambassador Eihenbaums highlighted China’s significant role as an economic partner for Latvia.
“China is an extremely important partner for Latvia when it comes to the economy,” Eihenbaums stated. He noted that one of the most effective ways to enhance bilateral relations is by increasing the presence of Latvian companies in China.
Some Latvian businesses have already established production bases within China, demonstrating the growing economic collaboration between the two nations. “We are working on a program now to bring more Chinese entrepreneurs to Latvia,” the ambassador revealed. “This will be of benefit to both countries.”
