European Parliament Approves Ursula von der Leyen’s Second Term as Commission President

The European Parliament on Wednesday approved the new European Commission team, confirming Germany’s Ursula von der Leyen for her second five-year term as President. Lawmakers voted 370 in favor and 282 against, with 36 abstentions, giving the green light to the 27-member executive team.
