Chinese Vice President Han Zheng on Tuesday called for enhanced global cooperation in industrial and supply chains, emphasizing win-win partnerships, innovation-driven development, and a green transition. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the second China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) in Beijing, Han outlined a three-point proposal aimed at fostering global economic growth and sustainable development.
“China is committed to the path of economic globalization,” Han stated. “We seek to strengthen business and industrial cooperation with other countries, promoting positive interactions among industries for shared benefits.”
Han highlighted China’s dedication to innovation-driven strategies, aiming to accelerate the development of high-quality productive forces. “We will create broader avenues for deep integration of industrial and supply chains,” he noted, emphasizing the importance of technological advancement in driving economic progress.
Addressing the imperative of environmental sustainability, Han expressed China’s willingness to collaborate globally in green industries and clean energy sectors. “Together, we can boost global green development,” he remarked, underscoring the need for joint efforts in tackling climate change and promoting eco-friendly initiatives.
Han Zheng asserted that China has long been an active participant and contributor to global industrial and supply chain cooperation. “Our country has made positive contributions to the development of the world economy,” he said. “We stand ready to work with all nations to build an open global economic system and ensure stable and unimpeded global industrial and supply chains.”
The CISCE, themed “Connecting the World for a Shared Future,” is the world’s first national-level exhibition focused on supply chains. The expo gathers industry leaders and experts from around the globe to promote international collaboration in industrial and supply chains. The opening ceremony was attended by approximately 1,100 participants.
The event runs from November 26 to 30 in Beijing, providing a platform for dialogues and partnerships aimed at optimizing and upgrading global supply chains and fostering a sustainable economic future.
