The conflict in the Middle East continues to escalate despite international calls for de-escalation. On Monday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that an Israeli airstrike killed senior Hezbollah commander Abu Ali Rida in southern Lebanon.
According to the IDF, thirteen airstrikes were conducted near the border, resulting in casualties and significant damage to civilian infrastructure. In retaliation, Hezbollah fired approximately 60 projectiles into northern Israel. The IDF reported no injuries from these strikes.
Since September, the Israeli army has intensified its airstrikes against Hezbollah across Lebanon. These operations have led to considerable civilian casualties and have displaced residents from numerous areas. The ongoing conflict has raised concerns among the international community, with many urging both sides to exercise restraint and pursue peaceful resolutions.
