Central Government Liaison Office in Macao Hails President Xi’s Remarks

The Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) has lauded President Xi Jinping’s recent remarks during his meeting with Sam Hou Fai, the newly elected and centrally appointed Chief Executive of the Macao SAR. The office stated that Xi’s words serve as inspiration and provide clear direction for Macao to continue advancing the successful practice of “One Country, Two Systems.”

The spokesperson for the Liaison Office emphasized that President Xi’s important remarks reflect the central government’s deep commitment to the Macao SAR and its high regard for the appointment of the new chief executive. “His guidance underscores the significance of Macao’s role and the central government’s support for our future development,” the spokesperson noted.

Expressing confidence in the leadership of Sam Hou Fai, the spokesperson said, “We believe that the new chief executive will unite and lead the SAR government and all sectors of Macao society. By deeply studying and effectively implementing the spirit of President Xi’s remarks, we can consistently adhere to the correct path of ‘One Country, Two Systems’ and fully leverage Macao’s unique position and advantages.”

The Liaison Office highlighted the commitment to opening a new chapter in the successful implementation of “One Country, Two Systems” in Macao, fulfilling the high expectations set forth by President Xi and the central government.
