A car exploded on Monday in Damascus’s Mazzeh neighborhood, an area known for hosting embassies and security headquarters, according to state media reports. The cause of the incident remains unclear.
Earlier reports indicated that blasts were heard in the vicinity. An AFP report mentioned that a hotel near Syria’s Information Ministry was damaged, and vehicles were torched in the area.
