Beijing’s Financial Street is bustling with excitement as it hosts an auto show during the 2024 Financial Street Forum, which runs from October 18 to 20. The event aims to boost consumption and stimulate economic activity in the district.
The auto show features 27 domestic and international brands and showcases 42 models, including luxury cars like Lotus Cars, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi, as well as passenger car brands familiar to consumers. It’s a rare opportunity for car enthusiasts and potential buyers to see such a diverse range of vehicles in one place.
Li Ping, general manager of Chewujie, the organizer of the auto show, shared that some of the models on display are typically only seen at A-class auto shows. “We have a global limited-edition supercar worth over 21 million yuan (about $3 million),” Li said, highlighting the exclusivity of the event.
In an effort to encourage purchases, the organizers have launched new vouchers for online car sales during the forum, offering discounts of up to $3,520. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to boost consumer spending and support the automotive industry.
Beyond the auto show, 89 key merchants from the Financial Street Shopping Center are offering discounts, and additional coupons are being distributed to further stimulate spending across the district. These activities aim to create a vibrant shopping environment and contribute to economic growth.
The 2024 Financial Street Forum, with its array of events like the auto show and shopping promotions, showcases Beijing’s commitment to revitalizing consumption and supporting industries. It provides a platform for businesses to connect with consumers and offers a feast for visitors interested in the latest automotive trends.
