Both Wang Xinshang and Zhou Yafei of China secured their first International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) World Cup titles after winning the men’s and women’s speed events in Seoul, South Korea, on Friday.
In a thrilling display of skill and determination, Wang Xinshang clinched the gold medal in the men’s speed event. After defeating compatriot Wu Peng in the quarterfinals and Indonesia’s Kiromal Katibin in the semifinals, Wang faced Amir Maimuratov of Kazakhstan in the final.
