Gansu Province—Zhao Yan, a mother from Gansu Province, understands firsthand the challenges faced by parents of children with special needs. In 2015, driven by her experiences with her autistic son, she invested all her savings to establish the Zhibo Special Education Training Center.
The center was born out of Zhao Yan’s determination to create a supportive environment for children with disabilities. “I wanted to provide a place where these children could learn and grow,” she shared. Her vision was to offer education and training that would enable them to develop essential skills for independent living.
Over the years, the Zhibo Special Education Training Center has become a beacon of hope for many families. Providing free support to over 400 children, the center has helped numerous youngsters gain confidence and acquire the tools they need to navigate daily life. Parents have expressed deep gratitude for the positive impact on their children’s development.
Zhao Yan’s unwavering commitment has not only transformed the lives of the children but also fostered a community of support among families facing similar challenges. “Seeing the progress these children make is the greatest reward,” Zhao Yan remarked.
The center continues to expand its programs, aiming to reach more children in need. Zhao Yan’s story is a testament to the profound difference one individual can make, inspiring others to contribute to a more inclusive society.
