19th Changchun Film Festival Celebrates Chinese Cinema Innovation

Amid a wave of excitement, the 19th China Changchun Film Festival opened its doors on August 28 in Changchun City, Jilin Province, marking a significant celebration of Chinese cinema’s past, present, and future.

Running until September 1, the festival presents six main sections, including the highly anticipated opening and closing ceremonies.

Fifteen outstanding films have entered the final competition for the prestigious Golden Deer Award, which honors excellence in ten categories, including Best Film, Best Director, and Best Actor. Notable entries vying for the top prize include “Pegasus 2,” “Endless Journey,” “Only the River Flows,” “Viva La Vida,” “Article 20,” and “A Place Called Silence.”

The festival not only celebrates cinematic accomplishments but also offers a diverse array of activities for attendees. Outdoor and indoor public screenings allow audiences to experience a variety of films, while forums and summits provide platforms for industry dialogue and collaboration.
