China is at the forefront of the global solar energy industry, according to Abdullah Al Hashimi, Chief Operating Officer of Dubai Ports World’s parks and free zones. In a recent interview with CGTN reporter Zhu Zhu, Al Hashimi highlighted China’s significant investment and innovation in solar energy research and development.
“Chinese companies are responsible for one-third of the world’s investment in solar energy R&D,” Al Hashimi noted. He emphasized that China’s leadership in this sector is pivotal for advancing renewable energy technologies globally.
Al Hashimi stressed the importance of international collaboration in the renewable energy sector. He expressed optimism that China’s commitment to solar energy will inspire other nations to invest more heavily in sustainable technologies, driving global efforts to combat climate change and promote environmental sustainability.
