China and Vietnam have taken a significant step toward enhancing their bilateral relations by signing 14 cooperation agreements during Vietnamese President To Lam’s state visit to China from Sunday to Tuesday.
On Monday, Chinese President Xi Jinping, who is also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, held talks with To Lam, general secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee and President of Vietnam, at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
Following their discussions, both leaders witnessed the signing of 14 cooperation documents between various ministries, agencies, and localities from both countries. The agreements span a range of sectors, including connectivity and infrastructure, healthcare, customs, media, and initiatives aimed at improving the livelihoods of their people.
The new agreements are expected to bolster practical cooperation between China and Vietnam, strengthening their ties and promoting mutual development. This move underscores the commitment of both nations to deepen their partnership and work collaboratively on issues of common interest.
