The Ministry of Emergency Management announced on Friday the activation of a Level-IV emergency response to floods in the provinces of Guangdong, Shandong, Henan, and Hubei, as Typhoon Gaemi makes landfall in China.
In Liaoning Province, the emergency response has been escalated from Level-IV to Level-III due to the increasing severity of flooding caused by the typhoon’s impact.
Typhoon Gaemi has brought heavy rainfall and strong winds to the affected regions, raising concerns about potential damage to infrastructure and the safety of residents.
Local authorities are mobilizing resources to reinforce flood defenses, evacuate vulnerable communities, and ensure the provision of essential services during this critical period.
The Ministry has called on all relevant departments to prioritize disaster relief efforts and safeguard the well-being of the public as the situation develops.
Residents in the affected areas are advised to stay updated on weather reports and follow official guidance to remain safe during the adverse weather conditions.
