On July 3, 2024, Wuhan University launched its summer camp themed “Global Exchanges and Sustainable Development,” bringing together 22 international students from Vietnam, Laos, Uzbekistan, Fiji, Sri Lanka, and the United States, along with more than 20 undergraduates from Wuhan University.
Participants embarked on an exploration of sustainable development through a series of interdisciplinary and cross-border educational activities. Esteemed professors, including Ji Li from Wuhan University, Zebo Kuldasheva from Tashkent State University of Economics in Uzbekistan, and Peng Zengjun from St. Cloud State University in the United States, alongside Yan Liang, associate senior editor of Xinhua News Agency, led open teaching sessions and facilitated student discussions on global exchanges and sustainable development issues.
The summer camp aimed to foster cross-cultural understanding and provide students with a platform to engage with pressing global challenges, emphasizing the role of international cooperation in achieving sustainable development goals.
