Inessa Alaverdyan, a data science analyst at Cisco and an avid Chinese language enthusiast, recently returned to China after an eight-year hiatus. She participated in the 2024 Future Close-Up program, a high-level youth exchange initiative hosted by the China International Communications Group Center for the Americas, the Hong Kong Federation of Liaoning Associations, and Tencent.
In an interview with CGTN’s Enoch Wong, Alaverdyan reminisced about her time living in China eight years ago and expressed her astonishment at the nation’s rapid development. “The growth is phenomenal,” she remarked. “China’s increased global competitiveness and forward planning are truly impressive.”
Alaverdyan was particularly impressed by the advancements in sustainability. “The strides made in environmental practices within such a short period are remarkable,” she said. “It’s inspiring to see how committed China is to sustainable development.”
