China Media Group (CMG) has officially launched its sports news program, Morning Sports, in Shanghai, marking a significant step in its preparations for the upcoming 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris, France.

The launch ceremony, held on Sunday, was attended by CMG President Shen Haixiong and International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach. The event featured the unveiling of CMG’s Paris 2024 logo and the introduction of its dedicated broadcast team.

In his address, Shen emphasized CMG’s commitment to delivering comprehensive coverage of the Olympic Games. “As one of the world’s leading international media groups, CMG is dedicated to fulfilling its role as the main broadcasting body and all-media rights-holding broadcaster for the 2024 Olympic Games,” he stated.

Adding to the anticipation, CMG’s production trucks departed from Beijing on Saturday, embarking on a journey to Paris. The convoy will transit through Ningbo in Zhejiang Province before heading to France, with an expected arrival in late July. This movement underscores CMG’s logistical preparations to provide timely and high-quality broadcasts from the heart of the Olympic action.

The 2024 Summer Olympic Games are set to begin on July 26 in Paris. CMG’s enhanced programming and strategic initiatives aim to bring the excitement and spirit of the Olympics to audiences across Asia and around the globe.
