Beijing Exhibition Unveils Rare Qing Dynasty Court Garments

An extraordinary exhibition titled “Colors of Imperial Textiles and Court Regalia in the Qing Dynasty” is currently captivating visitors at the Guardian Art Center in Beijing. Showcasing nearly 100 rare court garments from the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), the exhibition offers a unique glimpse into the opulence and artistry of imperial China.

The majority of these exquisite garments are on public display for the first time, with 90 percent of the pieces never before seen by the public. The collection features masterpieces from the Palace Museum and the Shenyang Palace Museum, highlighting the intricate craftsmanship and rich cultural heritage of traditional Chinese textiles.

Visitors can marvel at the lavish robes adorned with intricate embroidery, luxurious silk fabrics, and vibrant dyes that were once reserved for emperors and high-ranking officials of the Qing Dynasty.
