Following China’s significant victory in its fight against poverty, the nation is now turning its attention to a new frontier: rural revitalization and the modernization of agriculture.
Outlined in the country’s No.1 Central Document of 2021, this strategic shift aims to “comprehensively push forward rural revitalization and accelerate the modernization of agriculture and rural areas.”
In recent years, China has enhanced policy support for the integrated development of rural industries. By optimizing the allocation of financial resources and guiding social capital investment, the state has propelled the agriculture sector’s entire industry chain forward.
At the heart of this transformation are China’s policy banks, such as the Agricultural Development Bank of China (ADBC).
