President Xi Jinping to Address 10th China-Arab States Cooperation Forum in Beijing

Chinese President Xi Jinping is set to attend the opening ceremony of the 10th ministerial meeting of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum (CASCF) on May 30 in Beijing. He will deliver a keynote speech, announced Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying on Sunday.

The meeting signifies a new chapter in China-Arab relations, aiming to strengthen political dialogue, economic cooperation, and cultural exchanges between China and the Arab states. Representatives from both sides expressed optimism about the outcomes of the upcoming discussions.

Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Chinese Foreign Minister, will co-chair the meeting with Mohamed Salem Ould Merzouk, Mauritania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad. The participation of high-ranking officials underscores the importance both parties place on this bilateral forum.

Foreign ministers or representatives of the Arab states, along with the Secretary-General of the Arab League, will be in attendance. The forum provides a platform to enhance mutual understanding and to discuss strategies for collaboration on regional and international issues.

Established in 2004, the CASCF has been instrumental in fostering cooperation in various fields including trade, energy, infrastructure, and cultural exchange. This 10th ministerial meeting is expected to build upon past successes and forge new pathways for partnership in the ever-evolving global landscape.
