China Dominates Denmark to Set Up Uber Cup Semifinal Clash with Japan

Host nation China secured a spot in the Uber Cup semifinals with a commanding 3-0 victory over Denmark in Chengdu, southwest China’s Sichuan Province, on Thursday.

Olympic champion Chen Yufei gave China a strong start, defeating Denmark’s Line Hojmark Kjaersfeldt 21-10, 21-12 in the opening singles match. The momentum continued as world No. 1 doubles pair Chen Qingchen and Jia Yifan extended the lead to 2-0 with a decisive win in the doubles clash.

In the second singles match, He Bingjiao sealed the victory by overcoming Line Christophersen 21-16, 22-20, securing China’s place in the semifinals without dropping a single game.

China will face Japan in the semifinals after the latter defeated India 3-0. The upcoming match promises an exciting encounter between two badminton powerhouses, with both teams aiming for a spot in the Uber Cup final.
