Beijing Hosts 2024 Zhongguancun Forum, Showcasing Global Innovation

Amid the bustling streets of Beijing, innovators and thought leaders from around the globe have gathered for the opening of the 2024 Zhongguancun Forum (ZGC Forum). Starting on Thursday, this five-day event promises to be a melting pot of ideas and advancements that could shape the future of technology and innovation worldwide.

Under the theme “Innovating for a Better World,” this year’s forum features five major sections, including meetings and technology trading. Nearly 120 events will promote the exchange of groundbreaking ideas in areas such as artificial intelligence, life sciences, 6G, and blockchain technology. A series of significant scientific and technological achievements are set to be unveiled during the forum.

Competitions focusing on advanced technological fields have attracted more than 3,100 entries from 75 countries and regions. Additionally, the technology trading section has garnered interest from over 6,000 projects representing more than 40 countries and regions. The substantial international participation underscores China’s commitment to openness and cooperative innovation.

Established in 2007, the ZGC Forum has evolved into a national-level platform for open innovation and an influential international conference. Its continuous focus on innovation and development has solidified its reputation as a hub for global technological advancement.

Located in northwestern Beijing, Zhongguancun is home to over 17,000 national high-tech enterprises. Recognized as China’s first national high-tech industrial development zone, it is often referred to as “China’s Silicon Valley” due to its significant role in fostering technological innovation and entrepreneurship.
