The large container ship, owned by global shipping giant Maersk, operates on green methanol—an eco-friendly alternative to traditional fossil fuels. Vincent Clerc, CEO of A.P. Moller-Maersk, highlighted the expanding interest in methanol-powered vessels across Asia. Speaking to CGTN, Clerc revealed that there are currently 250 methanol-powered ships either under construction or on order within the region.
