A Thousand Drones Illuminate Chengdu’s Sky in Spectacular New Year’s Celebration

In Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, a mesmerizing drone show transformed the night sky into a canvas of light and culture. Over a thousand drones took flight above the Chengdu Science Fiction Museum, creating an array of intricate patterns and images that celebrated the rich heritage of the city.

Spectators were treated to luminous formations ranging from the ancient bronze masks of the Sanxingdui Site to an adorable “giant panda,” a symbol beloved throughout China. The display also featured a vivid “Chinese dragon” and beautifully rendered Chinese characters, each formation telling a story of Chengdu’s vibrant history and traditions.
